S&N: Servitude to Nothing
Out of all the possible explanations for the existence of this blog I think the best I could give is that this is the inside of my mind. This is that marathon of thoughts that goes through my mind. This is my likes, loves, dislikes and whatever else there is. I post lots of pictures, I own rights to none of them...unless I say so. I'm a musician, so in turn I'm an artist, let me surprise you.

15 African-American male teachers on why they teach
Follow policymic

clap for them

Yes. Teach and help these children prosper

In 12 months or less, I’ll be in a classroom of my own and I can’t want to make artists and inspiring marks on the world and young people’s minds like these men. It’s important that we encourage and support young men, especially young men of color, to pursue their inspirations….ESPECIALLY if that is education. There’s already a deficiency of males in the profession, which is accompanied by this century’s old stigma that teaching is a woman’s position. Perspective is everything; it significantly affects how we relate to others and transfer knowledge. And it is that specifically, perspective, that makes MOC (Men of Color) such great educators….our experiences and perspective can’t be taught, replicated or duplicated….it comes from LIFE.
